import for annie 002 Being located across the Corran Ferry, you would be forgiven for thinking we are remote but during the day we are only a 15 minute drive from the amenities of Fort William, the peaks of Glencoe and all that the area offers. At night the outlaying areas are less accessible as the ferry heads to it’s berth for the night but there is a longer road that can be used as an alternative. What does the area have to offer? Besides the obvious unspoilt beauty and natural landscape there is a wealth of activities and sights to enjoy. For instance, in Kinlochleven the only ‘via ferratta’ in Scotland has opened recently, giving even beginners a real experience of clinging to a cliff face looking far below, albeit with the safety of a rope and harness at all times. Glencoe has some of the most dramatic views in Europe, and is well worth a visit at any time of the year, either to walk, climb or scramble, or simply just to observe. Ben Nevis Ben Nevis, the United Kingdom’s highest mountain is a short drive away, and is well worth a visit. For more sedate activities, you could choose any one of a number of world class beaches to visit, the white sands of Sanna bay being a particular favourite. For those who enjoy fine dining and fresh local produce, there are a number of fantastic restaurants are located close by, this part of the world is famous for it’s shellfish and rightly so – with the local fare comprising of scallops, razor clams, and mussels to name but a few.

Why not leave the car at home for the day and enjoy a truly unique experience here on Ardgour Estate.
