Wildlife Around Ardgour

Ardgour, an unspoilt wilderness has a wonderful variety of wildlife of all shapes and sizes, and any time of year you visit, you’ll be sure to see something special. We make careful conservation at the heart of everything we do. Enjoy reading our Wildlife Diary written by our guests.

Birdlife

Sea Eagles, Golden Eagles, Peregrine Falcons, Ptarmigan, Grouse, Woodcock, Snipe, Woodpeckers, Greenshank, Herons, Buzzards, Swallows, Oyster Catchers, and all the usual smaller species- too many to mention.

Animals

Red Deer, Roe Deer, pine martens, foxes, badgers, Otters, squirrels, Seals….. and maybe the odd Wild Cat!

Reptiles

Adders, slow-worms, Lizards.
